MM: {MeSha Moments}: #37~ The Salty Saltines

Hating on a holiday just because you did not receive anything or you did not have anyone to share it with is not very ladylike. That goes for Valentine's Day, Mother's Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas & even your own special birthday. You'll hear women say things like:::
  • "This day is so overrated!"...when they should have said: "When I go to the store, I'm forced to look at all of the balloons, flowers, candy, decorations and gifts that no one is going to buy for me!" 
  • "You should show your love and give gifts everyday, not just on this one day, if you are REALLY in love with a person!"...when they should have said: "I'm angry because I don't have anyone, so I'm clearly hating on the women who DID get gifts on this one particular day."
  • "I mean, what's the big deal? It's just another day!!!"...when they should have said: "It's just another day that I'm spending by myself!"
This is called being 'salty' or as I call them, "The Salty Saltine Cracker". Try to look on the bright side of things and enjoy every holiday because you don't NEED to have a significant other to celebrate!

There is a road you will have to take alone. This walk is for your sanity and no one else's. As much as you want company on this journey, no one seems to fit the bill so far. Over the years, you have given your love and time to potential suitors. While the beginning seems so unimaginable and surreal for you to be blessed with this bliss,  the end result remains the same.
